TDA Performing Company Showcase

Where is the Showcase being held?

The Showcase is Saturday, February 20, 2016 at the Chabot College Theater located at 25555 Hesperian Blvd.  Parking will be enforced so be sure to bring your $2.

When should my dancer arrive?

Click here to see a copy of the schedule – it will open in a new tab.  When you look at the schedule you will see it is broken down into Blocks.  The first block begins at 11am, when our Showcase will start.  Block 2 begins at 12, Block 3 at 1, etc.  If your dancer’s first dance is in Block 1 they need to be backstage, dressed and ready to go, with their hair and make-up done by 10:45.  If your dancer’s first dance is in any other Block, they need to be backstage ready to go 30 minutes prior to the start of their Block.  For example, if your dancer’s first dance is in Block 3 which begins at 1pm, then they need to be backstage by 12:30.

How long does my dancer have to stay?

You should pick up your dancer from the backstage area immediately following their performance.  You can exit the theater through the lobby and go to your left, around the building, and enter through the backstage door.  Your dancer will return to the dressing room you dropped them off in when they have finished performing.  We hope that you will come early and stay after to cheer on your Performing Company teammates.

Can I come backstage during the Showcase and help my dancer change costumes?

Absolutely!  Your dancer will return to the dressing room you dropped them off in when they have finished performing.  Please take a look at the schedule.  If your dancer has a less than 3 number change anywhere in the show order (expect our dancers in Do You Remember or The Christmas Party) please let me know ASAP.

Do I need tickets?

No, your Showcase fee will be charged on January 20.  You do not need tickets and you can bring as many friends and family members as you would like.

What if my dancer still has not received their costume?

Costumes are still arriving and will continue to go out in class over the next several weeks.  If there is a further delay we will let you know prior to the Showcase.

I still need to purchase my performance jewelry and/or makeup.  How can I place an order?

Please click here and choose your studio location to place your order.  Once you have placed your order please call CostumeManager.com and let them know that you need these items for the Showcase.

Can I videotape the performance?

No, as with all TDA performances video and flash photography are not allowed.  But we will have our professional videographer there along with our staff photographer taking action shots.
